The Rastenberg Tunnel right next to Weimar's main train station serves as an important link for pedestrians and cyclists between the northern part of the city and Weimar's city center. Graffiti artist Lucian Patermann designed the walls of the approximately 150-metre-long tunnel, which runs between the station forecourt and Rießner Straße. The railroad underpass is owned by Deutsche Bahn AG. Since 1997, the tunnel has been part of the "Laura cycle path", a designated regional cycle route via Schöndorf and Wohlsborn.
