Reichenbach was first mentioned in a document in 1262. Around 1800, the businesses of country carters and fruit and livestock traders developed. The first porcelain manufactory was founded in 1873. For over 100 years, porcelain painting and the porcelain trade were the dominant crafts of the people of Reichenbach and today Reichenbach quality porcelain is sold worldwide. This small, tranquil and peaceful village, located directly on the Hermsdorfer Kreuz, is always worth a visit.

Also worth seeing in Reichenbach is the church, which stands on a hill and dates back to 1726. Flowers and ornaments are painted in rich colors, the organ in late baroque style, built in 1881.
