Weimar Riding School
Weimar Riding School
The riding school was built in 1715 as a baroque building and adapted to the style of the city palace in 1803 under the direction of architect Heinrich Gentz. The Staatliches Bauhaus later used some of the rooms for pre-course teaching. Today, the listed building belongs to the European Youth Education and Meeting Center. A 280 m² representative hall with a surrounding gallery offers space for seminars and events. On the castle side is a popular sunbathing lawn for locals and tourists.
