One of six Rennsteig houses is located in Lehesten in the small district of Brennersgrün.

The old school was renovated and opened as a Rennsteig and community center in 2014.

Guests to the region can use the sanitary facilities, rest, change clothes, use lockable lockers, store sports equipment and carry out minor repairs. In summer, e-bikers can charge the batteries of their bikes and in winter, skiers can wax their skis.

The special feature of this Rennsteighaus is that guests can use the combination of Rennsteighaus, civic meeting point and hiking accommodation with accommodation options for active tourists.

In addition to shared rooms, there is also a kitchen and a breakfast room.
