The Normannstein has watched over the town since the early 12th century. The lords of Treffurt turned it into a complete castle with three striking towers. Almost 100 steps lead explorers of all ages through the floors of the modern exhibition. Here you can gain exciting insights into everyday life in the Middle Ages, including meal plans, household remedies and unloved roommates. The exhibition in the tower can be visited during opening hours, on request or outside general opening hours for larger groups. From the viewing platform, you can gaze out over the countryside. At dusk, with a bit of luck, you may come across the White Lady. You can now not only get married at the castle, but regular events are also held there. The company „Konzepthafen“ has been the leaseholder of Normannstein Castle since July 2021.
