Rondel

The rondel is probably part of a medieval fortification system. To the east of here runs the moat, which was also part of this defense system. According to surface finds, it is assumed that this fortification system existed until the 15th or 16th century.
The former owners have the scariest stories to tell.
The "Schwarze Grete", who was one of the temporary owners of the Rondel, is said to have terrified the surrounding villages and their inhabitants with her misdeeds.
By the mid-1970s, the Rondel was very overgrown, the table had been destroyed and the tree cover was quite sparse. On the initiative of the then forester Georg Biehl, the entire area was cleared in the fall of 1977 and reforested in the spring of 1978. The stone table and the accompanying benches in the middle of the roundel were re-erected in their original position by members of the Langula fire brigade. Thanks to this measure, the roundabout has once again become a beautiful site, reminiscent of medieval conditions.
