Rudisleben is located in the Gera valley between Arnstadt in the south and Ichtershausen in the north. The village is a street village about two kilometers long. Rudisleben is located on the east side of the Gera River. In the south of the village there are some larger lakes, which belong to the local gravel and concrete plant and are used by anglers and bathers. Rudisleben is surrounded by agricultural land, in the north is a small forest area. The village lies about 250 meters above sea level.
