The residential palace of the Dukes of Meiningen presents paintings, sculptures and arts and crafts by European masters from eight centuries, historic banqueting halls, memorial rooms for Queen Adelheid of Great Britain, Friedrich Schiller, Max Reger as well as Ludwig Bechstein and Rudolf Baumbach in the Literature Museum. Music history for all generations to touch, look at and listen to can be experienced in the presentation „Meiningen - Court of the Muses between Weimar and Bayreuth“ in the former living quarters of Duke Georg II and Helene Baroness of Heldburg.
