Behringen Castle and Sculpture Park
Behringen Castle and Sculpture Park
Ernst Wilhelm von Wangenheim lived in Behringen Castle from 1743 to 1792 and had the large castle park laid out. Today, the old Weymouth pine is the town's landmark. The castle park is a listed building. Sculptures have complemented the park since 1996, turning it into a small oasis of art. Numerous sculpture symposia with different themes have resulted in works of art that stand out in the shade of the trees and invite visitors to linger. The castle and sculpture park is the starting point of the sculpture hiking trail and race route.
