With over 460 years of history, the hunting lodge „Zur Fröhlichen Wiederkunft“ in Wolfersdorf is an important and significant historical site not only in the Saale-Holzland district, but in the entire cultural landscape of Thuringia. In addition, the castle ensemble with its unique architecture and idyllic castle pond exudes an extraordinary attraction that has already brought numerous visitors to Wolfersdorf. Since September 2007, the „Schloss Wolfersdorf Verwaltungsgesellschaft“ (SWVG) has been overseeing the extensive restoration of the entire castle according to the historical model and managing the property.

Visitors can take a look behind the scenes on guided tours of the castle and then enjoy coffee, cake and snacks in the castle café.

The moated castle offers various rooms for celebrations. Weddings can be held directly in the castle.
