To the east of the castle courtyard are two garden terraces, which are connected by double flights of steps with staircases for the horses. The riding school, built in 1610, has been renovated in recent years and is now a popular venue for events. The palace garden on the lowest terrace was once laid out in the Baroque style. Towards the end of the 18th century, it was transformed into a sentimental-romantic landscape garden. A special rarity is the baroque and later also redesigned sound house with one of the few surviving sound halls.
