Schmalenbuche is a district of Neuhaus am Rennweg and is located northeast on the outskirts of the town of Neuhaus am Rennweg on the National road 281, which is from Light steadily ascending up to the crest of the Thuringian Slate Mountains leads. On the sides there are mountain meadows, streams or forest on the slopes. The district has become one with the core city.
