Schönbornsprudel Bad Kissingen
Schönbornsprudel Bad Kissingen
The Schönbornsprudel is one of the seven medicinal springs in Bad Kissingen and is used for external applications. In 1764, this thermal spring in the Hausen district of Bad Kissingen was used for Salt extraction but was only used as a bathing spring a good 100 years later. The name goes back to the Würzburg Prince-Bishop Johann Philipp von Schönborn, who had made a name for himself in salt production in the region.
Today the KissSalis Therme but the Hotel Kaiserhof Victoria, Vital-Hotel Erika and the Uibeleisen Sanatorium and Health Center also use it for their spa treatments. Due to the composition of the minerals, the Schönbornsprudel has a supportive effect on intervertebral disc problems, rheumatism, joint diseases and tension, for the follow-up treatment of injuries and after operations on the musculoskeletal system for cardiovascular problems and disorders as well as for diseases of the respiratory tract, nervous system and skin.
