Our history

The Moritz shoe store can look back on more than 100 years of history. It all began in Münnerstädter Anger, where Johann Moritz ran a leather shop and tannery. In 1928, he added shoes to his range. In this year, "Schuh-Moritz" was officially entered in the commercial register by his son, Ludwig Moritz. In 1960, Ludwig's son, Hans Moritz, took over the family business. The last change of ownership took place in 2004. Since then, the great-grandson of Johann Moritz, Michael Moritz, has been running the shoe store with heart and dedication.
