Serba with its districts Trotz and Klengel is a municipality in the Saale-Holzland district. Located about 8 km north of Bad Klosterlausnitz, Serba is easily accessible via the B7 as well as the A9 and the Hermsdorfer Kreuz.
First mentioned in documents in the 12th century, the village of Serba is a purely Sorbian foundation. Numerous three- and four-sided farmsteads bear witness to its 800-year history. Traditional crafts still include building and carpentry, stove and fireplace construction, butchery and bakery. In Serba there is a private Railroad Museum.
The centuries old Forest Inn "To the Grey Goats" is located south of the village and invites you in the middle of the idyllic Mühltal's invite you to enjoy Thuringian food. The extensive forest area offers nature lovers a well-developed network of hiking and biking trails, but also all kinds of opportunities for activity: a visit to the Mill miniature parks at the Roberts Mill, Kremser rides or the borrowing of a pony for a Ride. The Pottery town Bürgel and the Thalbürgel Monastery are almost as close as the former residential city of Eisenberg and the spa town Bad Klosterlausnitz.
