This „Red Army Cemetery of Honor“ was established in June 1945. By April 1946, 640 Soviet military personnel who were killed during the Second World War or died as a result of it were buried there.

Park an der Ilm: The 48-hectare landscaped park on the edge of Weimar's old town is part of a kilometer-long green corridor along the Ilm. It was created between 1778 and 1828 and has both sensitive and classical and post-classical-romantic features.
