Two churches were consecrated in Apolda in the same year - in 1894 a service was celebrated for the first time in the Catholic St. Boniface Church and in the Protestant Luther Church.

Inside the church, you can admire a wooden ceiling decorated with ornaments in the nave. Just like the stalls, the confessionals and the baptismal font, the wooden ceiling dates back to the time when the church was built. When the sun shines through the brightly painted stained glass windows with Christian motifs, you can see a wonderful play of colors inside the church.

The Schlimbach organ plays at every service and accompanies the singing of the visitors.
