The Schwarza church of St. Laurentius was built around 1600 on the site of a much older church. It is a typical example of the Schwarzburg peasant baroque style. The pulpit altar impresses with images of the Reformation and with its unity of altar, pulpit and organ, which was important for the Reformation. There is a Bashkir arrow in the spire. On April 14, 1814, Bashkir warriors were invited to Schwarza by Prince Karl Guenter. Karl Guenter doubted the efficiency of the Bashkir bow and asked the Bashkirs to hit the church tower with their arrow. They did not dare, but the priest allowed them to do so. A Bashkir archer hit the church tower from 100 meters. So the Bashkir arrow has remained in the church tower until now.
