The Catholic church of St. Marien, also known as the Old Church, is located not far from the main road in the southern part of Heyerode, a municipality in the southern Eichsfeld region.

The plastered hall church from the 18th century is covered with a gabled roof from which rises a roof tower with an open lantern. It has a choir closed on three sides. The interior is furnished with a baroque altar. There are two-storey galleries in the entrance area, with the organ on the upper one.
