Bad Liebenstein town and spa library
Bad Liebenstein town and spa library
The town and spa library is located in the Palais Weimar, built between 1804 and 1806 as a princely residence below the theater. A branch of the children's library is located in the „Ludwig Bechstein“ elementary school in Bad Liebenstein. The library has a stock of around 30,000 media units: Novels, non-fiction books, books for children and young people, CDs and audio books, DVDs, media combinations and magazines. The Ludothek has attractive games for children and adults, from Froebelian games to the latest party games. With a valid library card, you can also use the free online lending service via ThueBIBNet with more than 57,000 e-books, e-audio, e-video and e-paper. The range of media on offer is varied and up-to-date and is also geared towards the wishes of guests who, as patients in the town's medical facilities, would like to obtain specific information on health issues. The Bad Liebenstein library stock can be searched at www.bibliotheken-thueringen.de and at www.gbv.de. The catalog is updated regularly. Titles that are not available in the library's media range can be ordered for you via interlibrary loan at www.gbv.de. All residents and guests of the city are entitled to use the library free of charge on a public law basis within the framework of the user statutes. There is a charge for borrowing media. An overview of the fees can be found in the fee regulations. The loan period is four weeks. Loan period extensions can be requested by telephone or via bibliothek@bad-liebenstein.de. Holders of the guest card can use the library free of charge. In addition to lending, information and advice, our service also includes 2 internet workstations, photocopiers, interlibrary loans, introductions to using the library, events and author readings.
