The town museum and school museum is located in the tower building of Ronneburg Castle and is run by the Ronneburg local history association.

In the tower building, the local history association provides information about historical events and shows how generations before us lived. Anyone who would like to sit at an old school desk has the opportunity to do so. On two floors you can see a farmhouse parlor, a living room in the style of 1900 and a classroom with furnishings from different generations. The history of the GDR and a small area tell the story of mining in the region.
