Jena City Museum
Jena City Museum
Located at the northern end of Jena's market square, the building, which has served as a residence, mill and wine restaurant since the 13th century, is now home to the city museum. On several floors, it shows the development of Jena from the founding of the city to the present day, the geology of the middle Saale valley and special features such as the "7 Wonders of Jena" or a walk-in model of a 17th century planetarium.
Various permanent exhibitions are supplemented by changing exhibitions.
