Weimar City Museum
The Weimar City Museum is located in the neo-classical Bertuch House, named after its builder, the writer, publisher and important entrepreneur in Weimar during Goethe's time, Friedrich Justin Bertuch. In the permanent exhibition, the history of the city of Weimar from Goethe's time to 1989 is presented in museum-like pictures on three floors. The presentation focuses on the Weimar National Assembly of 1919 and the Weimar Republic. The city museum's collections comprise around 100,000 exhibits, including a textile collection of national importance.
