There is an impressive collection of objects, pictures and documents relating to Steinbach's village history and the Steinbach way of life to discover. These include traditional costumes, everyday objects, but also knives and evidence of mining. Knife production has been a tradition in the mountain village for around 700 years. The museum is housed in Steinbach's oldest school building and has been in existence since 1970. It is run by volunteers from Steinbach.
