The small cane-making museum documents the development of this unique craft and shows the history of a traditional cane. In the "Backhaus", the "Arbeitsstube" and the "Stöckelager", you can find out about the history of the craft and the 32 work steps under the motto of the popular saying "It's the stick that some people miss!", which can be interpreted in many ways. These many steps are necessary to turn a sweet chestnut blank into a safe and attractive hiking prop. Historical tools and sticks are just as much a part of the exhibition collection as the hiking, walking, sick and hunting sticks that are still mainly produced by hand.
