The Theater im Palais is a small privately run theater in the heart of downtown Erfurt. It was founded in February 2012 by Heinrich and Sabine Kus. The listed building, which dates back to the 16th century and is steeped in history, has a hall for 80 - 100 guests and a small theater bar for catering to the audience before and after performances and during the interval. Entertaining comedies, enchanting fairy tales and exciting guest performances are part of the theater's regular repertoire. The venue can also be hired for celebrations of all kinds.

At the weekend, young audiences can embark on a journey into the magical world of fairy tales. The Theater im Palais offers theater courses for children during the vacations.
