Thuringian Forest Creative Museum with the 1st German Dumpling Press Museum

In a former historic residential and commercial building from the time around 1730 is the home of the Thuringian Forest Creative Museum. On a tour through the museum rooms, you can immerse yourself in the history of the Großbreitenbacher Porcelain painting and learns interesting facts about the trade in remedies at that time, the Vogelstellerei or the Großbreitenbacher Musical instrument making.

The crowd puller is the 1st German Dumpling Press MuseumWith the help of numerous authentic exhibits such as wooden presses and old recipes, you get a cultural-historical crash course on the national dish of the Thuringians, the Thuringian dumplings. Groups of 8 people or more can book a dumpling cooking course on request. The carefully designed Medicinal herb garden behind the house gives a great overview of medicinal herbs and their use. The annually crowned Oligarchs plant their favorite herb on the queen's bed. Each plant is provided with a QR code to help you get to know it better.
