The Church of Our Lady, centrally located in the Stödten district of Sömmerda, was built on this site in the 16th century.

There is an organ in the hall building with a recessed choir, although it is currently not in working order. In addition to the church in the center, the church grounds are also home to the village cemetery.

The congregation of the Church of Our Lady in Stödten is part of the Evangelical Church District of Eisleben - Sömmerda. Church services are held here every month.
