VENTER-GLOCKEN GmbH
Bells that remind you of your last vacation in the mountains come from Kleinschmalkalden. Now in its fifth generation, Venter Glocken GmbH is cultivating an old, traditional craft. In the past, the company mainly made bells for cows, but today they are also in demand as souvenirs or decorations. Sports fans also like to get in the mood with Venter bells. The smallest piece measures two centimetres, the largest thirty. Strictly speaking, however, they are all bells and not bells, as they would have to be made from a single piece. At Venter, however, two half-shells are punched out of a sheet of steel, joined together and completed with a clapper and handle. By the way: in 2003, the family business even produced the "largest cowbell in the world", which can still be seen today.
