The Waldbad Römhild was inaugurated in 1936. It is nestled between the Gleichberge mountains with a wonderful view of the Steinsburg castle.

The swimming pool can be reached by car via the Römhild - Hildburghausen country road, approx. 2 km from Römhild.

The Waldbad can also be reached on foot or by bike via numerous cycling and hiking trails and is a worthwhile excursion destination in combination with hikes to the Großer and Kleiner Gleichberg, to Dingsleben or Gleichamberg or cycling tours through the Grabfeld, the Gleichberge and the Heldburger Unterland.
