The Rastenberg forest swimming pool, which has been a listed building since December 2003, is located on the edge of the Hohe Schrecke, nestled in the Mühltal valley and surrounded by forest. Since its opening in 1925, many historic buildings have been erected, such as the changing rooms and the Wandelhalle. The „Rastenberger Waldschwimmbad“ e.V. association has worked to preserve all of this, turning the row of cabins into a cabin viewing museum - you can follow the 8 past decades of the pool's history through glass panes in the cabin doors. You can expect 5,000 m² of water for guaranteed relaxed swimming fun. With a shallow water area, a toddler slide, a water playground and a 70-meter slide, there is also plenty of opportunity for children to let off steam. The newly designed terrace offers a great view over the pool. A restaurant offers food and drinks. A variety of sporting and cultural events are offered during the bathing season. 2015 marks the 90th anniversary of the Waldschwimmbad.
