In 1661, the Eisenberg district clerk Johann Christoph Lauhn bought the mill. It was used as a fulling and tan mill for rolling hides. In 1902, the owner at the time was granted a license to operate a pub. The fulling mill also adapted to tourism, but continued to operate until after the First World War. From 1914 until the end of the 1960s, the tenants and owners changed several times. At the beginning of the 1970s, the then owner sold it to VEB "Industrie-Isolierung" Leipzig. This company rebuilt and modernized the site, while retaining the old layout of the buildings. An outdoor swimming pool and a bowling alley were also built. In 1991, a hotel was opened to the public.

The fulling mill is currently closed.
