Walldorf lies 280-300 m above sea level between the Rhön and Thuringian Forest. Special features of the village are the sandstone and fairytale cave, the fortified church and the historic town center with many half-timbered buildings, some of which are well preserved. Many small and medium-sized businesses in the village and on the industrial site ensure a healthy infrastructure.
