History - from the milk bottle to the wine bottle

The farmstead in Würchwitz has been in the family since 1795 and was once again managed by the family after the fall of the Berlin Wall. We went into traditional farming, especially milk production. Until a small article changed our family's life. It said "Vine rights still available". And then, in 1998, we started working in this new field. Today, the wine and sparkling wine estate in Würchwitz has long outgrown its status as an insider tip. Our winery focuses primarily on quaffable, elegant wines such as Müller-Thurgau, the aromatic Bacchus or the leading grape variety of the Saale-Unstrut growing region, Pinot Blanc. Location of our own vineyards: You will find our vineyards in the beautiful Elster Valley near Zeitz, in the district of Grana (municipality of Kretzschau).
