Winery Carl-Friedrich L. Walther

Vineyard area: 1.1 hectares

The winery Carl-Friedrich L. Walther was founded in 2017. Since the beginning, organic farming has been consistently practiced. With the 2020 vintage, the winery is officially certified organic.

The vineyards, which are lovingly cultivated by hand, are currently all located in the single vineyard Kaatschener Dachsberg in Thuringia on the Saale River. Starting with a small area of Silvaner vines, winemaker Carl-Friedrich Walther and his family and friends now also cultivate several smaller plots planted with Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Pinot Noir grapes. The must obtained from the grapes is gently vinified into lively wine in the castle cellar in Klosterhäseler with minimal technical effort.

Straußwirtschaft: Tastings can be arranged by appointment. Wine can of course also be shipped.

Opening hours: Please make an appointment by telephone or e-mail.
