In addition to Neuscharfenberg Castle, the St. Cosmas and Damian Church has shaped the townscape for centuries. Probably one of the largest organs in a village church is a little-known treasure here. The locals are proud of their children's ark, the "Nessetal" elementary school and the "Tannhäuser" cultural and conference center. A golf course with an 18-hole course and the sports field with its various sports groups are visible from afar in the upper part of the village. The Nessetal cycle path, which is popular with cyclists, runs through the village. Clubs organize festivals such as the May flower festival, funfair, Easter bonfire, St. Martin's festival and St. Nicholas for the youngest. The men's choral society 1880 and the women's choir are also active with their performances at various events.
