Wiegleben was first mentioned in documents in 775. The district has 345 inhabitants (as at 31.12.2019) and has been part of the spa town of Bad Langensalza, 7.2 km away, since 01.09.1993. Today, the village is one of the most beautiful rural districts of Bad Langensalza and also the highest, with a magnificent view of the Thuringian heartland.
