40 km of ski trails start at the sports field in the Oehrenstock district. There are also plenty of parking spaces available here.

The trails lead to the Dreiherrnstein on the Rennsteig and to other prominent points in the region, such as the "Volle Rose" show mine in Schortetal and the Carl-Marien-Höhe in Gehren.
