The Zeiss Planetarium Jena opened its doors back in 1926 and is now the longest-serving large-scale projection planetarium in the world. The dome consists of around 8,000 iron rods and measures 23 meters in diameter. In addition to educational and family programs, the planetarium also has music shows, concerts and live lectures in its repertoire. The Zeiss Planetarium Jena offers impressive shows in all weathers and has the most beautiful starry sky in nature. Astronomy can be experienced here.
