The site is ideally suited as a starting point for a relaxed canoe trip on the wild and romantic upper middle reaches of the Werra or for exploring the interesting tourist gems Wasungen has to offer on foot. For example, the picturesque Castle Maienluft for a short hiking tour followed by a taste of Thuringian cuisine and the Forest Botanical Garden north of the village introduces visitors to the diversity of shapes of our trees and shrubs in various ways.
