Central workshop Pfännerhall
Central workshop Pfännerhall
The Pfännerhall central workshop is a unique industrial monument in the heart of central Germany.
It was built in the 1920s as a mechanical workshop for the mining industry. Today, the house houses unique exhibitions on many different topics and areas of interest, such as the fascinating "Pfännerhall Discovery Site" exhibition with the life-size old elephant and a replica of the world-famous Geiseltal original horse.
Other highlights are the ABORA exhibition on the sailing expeditions of Dr. Dominique Görlitz and the exhibition for our friends of the DB on the new ICE line Halle/Leipzig - Erfurt. There is something for everyone here.
Pfännerhall has developed into the "gateway to the Geiseltal" as well as a visitor and event center in the region. We are an active place of learning for children and young people and ensure that the history of the Geiseltal is preserved and can be "experienced" by future generations.
