Zeulenroda-Triebes
The town of Zeulenroda-Triebes, which surrounds the large water area of the Zeulenroda dam with its districts, is also known as the "town on the heights". The imposing town hall and the market square with its carp cabaret and carp whistler, which is particularly popular with children, invite you to linger. One of the most child-friendly towns in Thuringia offers many leisure activities. The WAIKIKI Thermen- & Erlebniswelt, the "Römer" youth recreation center, the Rabensleite animal enclosure, the completely barrier-free Zeulenroda Municipal Museum and the two barrier-free lidos on the Zeulenrodaer Meer with adventure playgrounds are all worth a visit.
Directly on the banks of the two large reservoirs in the Weidatal, the 45 km long "Wanderbares Deutschland" quality trail leads along almost exclusively natural paths through a charming low mountain range landscape. In the Thuringian Vogtland Nordic Walking Park at the Zeulenroda dam, you will find 6 walking routes of varying difficulty for active pursuits.
At the "Zeulenrodaer Meer" you can go swimming, boating, fishing or simply enjoy nature by the water. In the area surrounding the town, nature lovers will get their money's worth in the varied forest, pond and lake landscape and the 8,000-hectare "Pöllwitz Forest" nature reserve. The moorland adventure trail is a particularly attractive hiking destination for families with children. If you are curious, then come and visit us. We look forward to your visit!
