The Zweiländermuseum Rodachtal opened its doors for the first time in November 2009 to mark the 20th anniversary of the peaceful opening of the border.

The tour of the Zweiländermuseum takes you from life in a rural region around 1900 through social, political, technical and economic upheavals to the 21st century. The focus is always on the experience of the people in their villages and small towns.

The 20th century is one of the most exciting and difficult periods in German history. What was life like in the Rodach Valley in this century? What conditions did the children start their lives with? How did their environment change? What did they experience?
