Arcade building Bad Kissingen
Arcade building Bad Kissingen
The impressive arcade building is located in the center of the spa facilities. It was built between 1834 and 1838 according to the plans of architect Friedrich von Gärtner and protected the guests of the time from wind and weather. 75 years later, architect Max Littmann extended the arcade building, built in the classical style, to include the current building complex from the fountain and Wandelhalle in the south to the Regentenbau in the north. Today, the arcade building houses the Rossini Hall, the Salon am Schmuckhof, the Littmann Atelier and the Salon Fontane. You can also get advice about Bad Kissingen, activities and much more in the foyer at the tourist information desk.
Our tip: Visit the Schmuckhof. From the Tourist Information Office you enter the inner courtyard, which is laid out as a garden. This is framed by the Reading Room, the Salon am Schmuckhof and the White Hall in the Regentenbau. With its murals and figures from Greek and Roman mythology and ornamental fountains, the Schmuckhof is reminiscent of Baroque and Renaissance pleasure gardens. The Schmuckhof is particularly popular for champagne receptions and relaxed lounging.
