Ebertshausen
Ebertshausen
Ebertshausen, originally a Franconian Thuringian village, was mentioned as early as October 2, 838 in a letter of donation under the name Eburiseshuson. The terraced grassland sites are reminiscent of the once poor and barren life in the Thuringian Forest. Farm produce was produced to support the diet, which is why the terraced meadows were created.
The village was incorporated into Benshausen on March 1994. In 2019, Ebertshausen also became part of Zella-Mehlis as part of the incorporation of Benshausen.
