The community of Langenwolschendorf is now also known in the Zeulenroda-Triebes region for the fact that citizens and community representatives are committed to species protection in their village. 

The bat experience garden Langenwolschendorf was created on a meadow orchard above the kindergarten grounds "Spatzennest". The main elements of the garden are a walk-in bat cave, where everything revolves around the winter quarters of the animals, an adventure area with a presentation of the summer habitats, the prey animals and a special climbing landscape for the smaller visitors. This is complemented by a small nature workshop with seating and technology for outdoor presentations as well as a listening box with which the ultrasonic sounds of the bats can be made audible. 

Tip: Every year on the last Friday in the month of July there is a bat night with many interesting offers. The event starts at 18:00 at the kindergarten "Spatzennest".
