Here you can find gliding and motor sports, model flying and many other air sports. Guests are welcome, because in good weather there is almost daily flight activity. In the season (March-October), the House of Air Sports Youth offers overnight accommodation - not only for aviation enthusiasts, but also for other nature sports enthusiasts.

The Haus der Luftsportjugend e.V., affectionately abbreviated HdL, is a gliding school, youth training center and accommodation. It is located at the airfield of Laucha an der Unstrut in Saxony-Anhalt, centrally located in Germany.
In the HdL already the young air sportsmen start with model building, then learn the art of gliding and later maybe even glider aerobatics. Our accommodation hosts the participants not only during the vacations for the AIRlebnis or the model building vacations, but is also available to all guests for short visits during the year.
Advanced aviators can earn their glider instructor rating at HdL, gain cross-country experience, or learn to fly powered gliders.
Clubs can organize an aviation camp at the HdL. In addition to the accommodations, camping is also possible. Thuringian Forest, Fläming and the Harz Mountains are quickly reached. Thus, the Laucha airfield with its slope and proximity to these areas offers excellent cross-country flying conditions. Winch launches and F-tows are possible at HdL at any time.
For those who prefer a more practical approach, the numerous workshop manager and cell maintenance courses are the perfect choice. Or would you prefer to become a parachute maintainer? The HdL offers all topics related to air sports.
And for all non-flyers, the surroundings in Saale-Unstrut offer numerous attractions.
