Waldstedt
Waldstedt
The district of Waldstedt is a small, somewhat remote village community between Zimmern and Alterstedt and, with its 96 inhabitants (as at 31.12.2019), is the smallest community in the national park region. Waldstedt was first mentioned in 842.
According to tradition, a chapel was once built here by a wealthy virgin, the Domina of Homburg Monastery. The village church is dedicated to St. Juliana. It was only given a tower in 1879. It was built by Friedrich Kesselring from Waldstedt.
