Windeberg
Windeberg is a district of Mühlhausen and lies to the north of Mühlhausen, on the edge of the Thuringian Basin. It was first mentioned in a document in 1296. Windeberg has been a district of Mühlhausen since 1992.
Worth seeing are the church of St. Nikolaus and an old Dutch mill on the western edge of the village. The church was built in the 16th century and the mill in 1860. To the east, Windeberg borders the Flachstal nature reserve. There are wooded areas to the north and south of Windeberg.
A May bonfire and the funfair are annual cultural highlights of village life.
