Since 2006, the café-restaurant with its large terrace overlooking the Georgsbrunnen has been serving organic coffees from the barista, home-made baked goods and fine food with a focus on fusion cuisine (regional & organic ingredients in international dishes). During the summer, there is also heavenly creamy soft ice cream and an extensive range of iced drinks. As is now typical of the Zucker & Zimt stores in Thuringia, almost all of the delights are also available in vegan quality. 
The extensive breakfast menu in the café-restaurant has gone from being an insider tip to being very popular, so that seating in the modern restaurant with its feel-good atmosphere can sometimes be scarce.
